We’ve tried all of these cafes myself over the last two years, dragging our friends across the island to find the best spots. In our experiences, finding truly instagrammable cafes in singapore that also serve quality coffee and good food is like finding a needle in a haystack. The cafe scene here is massive. Every other week, there is a new cafe popping up with stunning interiors and marble tables, promising the perfect shot for your instagram feed. But let us be real (we all know the disappointment of visiting a beautiful spot only to be served a mediocre cold brew and dry pastries).
As part of the SENDs team, We have made it my mission to filter out the fluff. We have visited everything from hidden gem spots near the fort canning arts centre to the bustling main dining hall of massive establishments. We have compared these to crowd favorites like surrey hills grocer, apartment coffee, cafe margaret, and the cozy corners of june coffee and nico cafe. We have even ventured out to east coast commune and wildseed café to see how they stack up. After visiting over forty aesthetic cafes, we have narrowed down the list to six venues that actually deliver on both vibes and flavor.
These are the most instagrammable cafes that give you great coffee, a welcoming space, and just the right amount of aesthetic appeal.
Quick Summary of the Establishments
Atlas Coffeehouse: Known for specialty coffee and soufflé pancakes, with a cosy, plant-filled atmosphere and great natural light.
Merci Marcel: A chic Parisian-inspired spot on Club Street featuring a garden courtyard and French brunch dishes, perfect for romantic outings.
PS.Cafe at Harding Road: This cafe offers lush greenery views and signature desserts like Sticky Date Pudding.
Café Monochrome: Singapore’s first 2D cafe in Bugis, designed like a hand-drawn sketch pad, ideal for playful photos and casual comfort food.
Kream & Kensho: A Korean-inspired cafe in Joo Chiat specializing in delicate desserts and matcha, with a calm and minimalist vibe.
The Summerhouse: A garden dome dining experience in Seletar with Victorian-inspired decor and private air-conditioned domes, perfect for special occasions.

1. Atlas Coffeehouse (Bukit Timah)

Price: $$
Atlas Coffeehouse is housed in a beautifully repurposed industrial building that lets in an abundance of natural light. Many cafes, including Atlas Coffeehouse, enhance their cosy atmosphere by incorporating natural elements such as plants and wooden furniture, which contribute to a relaxed and homely feel. This coffee shop takes its specialty coffee very seriously, making it a haven for coffee lovers who want substance alongside style. The warm lighting adds a cozy touch to the expansive space, making it perfect for a lazy morning catch-up.
The menu features some standout dishes, but the Butterscotch Banana Pancakes ($20) steal centre stage every single time. They are beautifully presented (fluffy, thick, and incredibly photogenic) and taste absolutely divine. We paired ours with their signature house blend flat white ($6), which offered a rich, dark chocolate undertone that cut through the sweetness perfectly. During my visit, We noticed that the staff runs a very tight ship, ensuring that all the cafe patrons get their specialty brews quickly despite the massive crowds.
Hype for: Brunch dates and chill catch-ups with friends who appreciate quality coffee.
Hard Pass If: You hate waiting or need a quiet space to work (the weekend queues are notoriously long here).
2. Merci Marcel (Club Street)

Price: $$
Walking into Merci Marcel feels like you have left the local island behind and stepped directly into a chic Parisian courtyard, reminiscent of a le jardin with its garden-inspired, floral ambiance. Located right on club street, this venue boasts stunning interiors featuring patterned tiles, rattan chairs, and soft pastel tones.
While many come just to snap photos in their enchanting outdoor seating area, the food holds its own. The Truffle Scrambled Eggs ($22) are rich, earthy, and perfectly creamy, served alongside a flaky, buttery croissant. As a nice touch, they also serve a fantastic french toast ($19) for those with a sweet tooth. We found the service to be incredibly polite, though the portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price. Still, enjoying a meal here with the fresh air drifting through the courtyard is a wonderful way to spend a morning.
Hype for: Romantic date nights and girls’ brunch outings where aesthetic is a top priority.
Hard Pass If: You are on a tight budget or looking for massive, heavy portions to fill you up.
3. PS.Cafe at Harding Road (Dempsey)

Price: $$ to $$$
If you are hunting for lush greenery and a sophisticated atmosphere, PS.Cafe at Harding Road is unmatched. Located on the ground floor of a restored colonial black-and-white house, this cafe boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that look out into a vibrant, wild jungle. It is a stunning visual experience that easily makes it one of the most instagrammable cafes in singapore. Whether you are sitting in the main room or the outdoor deck, the lush garden completely surrounds you. Many cafes in Singapore feature distinctive designs, including industrial spaces, botanical themes, and whimsical decor—PS.Cafe exemplifies the botanical trend with its lush, garden-inspired setting.
Their signature Sticky Date Pudding ($15) is legendary. It is served warm with a generous scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a rich toffee sauce (We highly recommend sharing this because it is incredibly dense). We also ordered their classic eggs benedict ($26), which was executed flawlessly. While we love the ambiance, we did notice that the service can slow down significantly during peak lunch hours. However, if you are not in a rush, sipping on their cold brew while taking in the tropical view is incredibly relaxing.
Hype for: Special occasions, anniversaries, and slow, luxurious afternoon dates.
Hard Pass If: You are looking for quick, budget-friendly eats or are impatient with slower service speeds.
4. Café Monochrome (Chinatown)

Price: $ to $$
Café Monochrome is Singapore’s first 2D café, where the entire space is designed to resemble a sketch pad, immersing diners in a hand-drawn environment that looks like a 2D black-and-white comic book. From the walls to the chairs and tables, everything is hand-drawn to create a mind-bending optical illusion. Café Monochrome is open daily from 11am to 10pm. It is a super unique, highly visual concept that you simply will not find anywhere else in the cafe scene here.
While the visuals are striking, the food here leans a bit more toward casual comfort fare. We tried their Mentaiko Fries ($12) and the Monochrome Wagyu Burger ($22). The food is decent, though most people are here primarily for the novelty drinks and desserts. Their signature iced matcha lattes ($7.50) provide a great pop of green against the stark black-and-white background. It is a fun, welcoming space, but you are definitely paying for the photo opportunities rather than a gourmet culinary experience.
Hype for: Content creators, novelty seekers, and anyone looking for a highly unique, playful backdrop.
Hard Pass If: You are coming purely for top-tier food quality or a traditional, cozy atmosphere.
5. Frankie & Fern's (Holland Village)

Price: $$
Located within the charming Holland Road Shopping Centre, Frankie & Fern’s is a beautifully minimalist cafe that has quickly become a favourite among local cafe hoppers and Instagram enthusiasts alike. The space is designed with clean lines, soft pastel tones, and natural wood accents, creating a calming and inviting atmosphere that stands out from the bustling surroundings of Holland Village and ION Orchard.
Frankie & Fern’s cafe specialises in hearty brunch fare, with standout dishes like the Roasted Short Rib Toast and creamy avocado toasts that are as delicious as they are photogenic. Their coffee menu also caters well to specialty coffee lovers, with smooth brews and creative iced options perfect for a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up.
Hype for: Minimalist cafe lovers, brunch dates, and matcha lovers seeking a serene spot.
Hard Pass If: You are looking for large group seating or a lively, bustling cafe environment.
6. The Summerhouse (Seletar) with Lush Greenery

Price: $$$
The Summerhouse is not just a cafe; it is a full-scale dining destination. Located on the sprawling grounds of Seletar Aerospace Park, this venue offers a modern victorian inspired setting surrounded by a massive, edible garden. Many cafes in Singapore incorporate natural elements such as greenery and wood accents into their designs, enhancing the overall aesthetic and creating a calming environment for diners, as seen at The Summerhouse. But the real draw here is their enchanting outdoor seating area featuring private, air-conditioned garden domes. It is easily one of the most romantic, beautifully presented dining experiences on the island.
Dining in the domes requires a set menu, which usually starts around $70 per person depending on the season. During our visit, the menu features included perfectly cooked chicken sausage, fresh seafood, and herbs plucked right from their own garden. It is definitely a premium price point, similar to what you might expect at ami patisserie or a high-end restaurant in one holland village.
Hype for: Anniversaries, proposals, and highly romantic dates where you want to go all out.
Hard Pass If: You want something casual, quick, or are looking for a simple place to just drink coffee and read a book.
If all these cafes are still not enough to boost the caffeine down you veins, maybe you need to go outside the aesthetics and choose the cafes that will give you palpitation; if so, then make sure to check out our article regarding the best Cafe spots in Singapore that you should try!
Be Sure To Prepare Before Heading Out
Don’t forget to check the instagram opening hours before you go to ensure you catch the best light and vibe. For example, Fern’s avocado toast is a crowd favorite at some of these venues, showcasing how food presentation complements the overall experience. The same team behind several successful cafes often brings consistent quality and atmosphere, enhancing your visit. When night falls, some cafes transform their ambiance, offering a different but equally inviting atmosphere for evening visits.
Final Thoughts from the SENDs Team
