LeVeL33: A Sip Above the Rest at the World’s Highest Microbrewery

Rooftop bar at dusk with people dining outdoors. The skyline features Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer under a vibrant pink and blue sky.

For a person who’s into adrenaline, I find it peaceful when I’m in places that bring me to dizzying heights while still keeping me grounded in the experience. On a recent Monday evening, I found myself located high above the ground at LeVeL33. As the elevator doors opened in the Marina Bay Financial Centre building, I instantly knew this was no ordinary rooftop bar.

This site, proudly holding the title of the world’s highest microbrewery, offers a unique perspective on beer; bringing sophistication to the local scene while keeping a down-to-earth charm that makes you feel right at home.

A Setting Above the Rest

I’ve had the opportunity to go around the best bars in Singapore, and I can tell you that in LeVel33, the atmosphere hits you immediately. You are greeted by gleaming copper beer brewing elements proudly displayed right near the entrance. Stepping out onto the outdoor terrace, I was completely captivated by the panoramic views of Marina Bay. Watching the Singapore skyline stretching across the horizon as the sun dipped was truly a beautiful sign that the evening had properly begun. It is a stunning setting to enjoy a quiet moment or share a drink with a close friend.

I started my dining experience with the Beer Tasting Paddle ($23.50). It is a fantastic way to explore their freshly brewed craft beers while taking in the views. Each small glass offers a unique taste of their brewing story. The Blond Lager was my absolute favorite of the flight. Every sip was incredibly crisp, light, and perfectly suited to the humid Singapore evening.

Contembrewery Cuisine and Thoughtful Sourcing

Gourmet meal on a dark table: grilled fish with sauce, roasted vegetables, bread rolls, a foamy drink, and fresh herbs. Elegant and sophisticated setting.

The food menu here focuses on contembrewery cuisine, which essentially means flavourful dishes infused with actual brewing ingredients. For starters, I tried their warm breads baked with brewer’s spent grain. They came paired with butter that had a rich, earthy depth. Every single bite tells a subtle story of their deep commitment to sustainability.

The Taste Beside the Sip

For the main course, I ordered the housemade pasta ($36), which arrived beautifully plated with vibrant greens, baby herbs, and delicate edible flowers. They clearly pride themselves on using locally sourced organic produce, and you can absolutely taste the bright freshness in the bowl. My dining partner opted for the ethically pasture raised beef ($65), which was exceptionally tender and cooked to a perfect medium rare.

I was also incredibly impressed to learn that they exclusively serve sustainable seafood across their entire menu. Knowing that the kitchen prioritizes sustainable seafood adds a very thoughtful, conscious layer to the dishes. We finished the meal by sharing one of their seasonal desserts ($18), a light citrus tart that balanced the richness of the earlier courses. Taking that final bite while looking out over the world below felt deeply satisfying.

Service and Practical Details

A lively rooftop restaurant with chefs preparing dishes behind a counter, diners engaging at tables. The large windows reveal a stunning city skyline at night.

The service was wonderfully attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Every guest is treated with genuine, calm care, whether you are seated in the main dining room or relaxing in the lounge. Our waiter was highly knowledgeable about how the kitchen pairs specific dishes with the beers. However, I have to be honest about the noise level outside. The terrace gets quite breezy and loud when it is fully packed, so definitely ask for an indoor table if you prefer a quieter environment.

If you are planning a visit, booking well in advance is absolutely essential. The coveted sunset tables disappear weeks ahead. Make sure to check the cancel policy on their website, as they do require proper notice for prime spots. Expect to spend around $80 to $120 per person for a full meal and drinks, which makes it a premium outing.

Overall, LeVeL33 offers much more than just a novelty view from the world’s highest rooftop brewery. It is a deeply considered space for anyone who appreciates thoughtful craft beverages and highly elevated food. I would highly recommend it for special anniversaries, impressing visiting friends, or simply treating yourself to a beautiful, grounded evening in the sky.
